Castor Oil Packing
One of my favorite ways of detoxing naturally would have to be using Castor Oil packs.
There are many benefits of this form of detox:
Decrease in menstrual cramping
Helps to promote weight loss
Acts as a natural laxative for those dealing with constipation
Helps heal the gut and stomach
Helps drain and guide lymphatic fluid
My personal experience:
I’ve struggled with severe menstrual cramps since my teenage years, which led me to seek solutions to end this long-standing pain. After discovering oil packing, I decided to give it a try. The changes weren’t immediate; it took about a month to notice any difference. Initially, my cramps became even more intense than before, but I stayed consistent. By my next period, I experienced very little pain, and now I hardly ever have cramps. I can travel and be physically active with ease, which is incredible for me, as I used to be bedridden, unable to move, and even pass out during my periods.
How to Do an Oil Pack:
Gather your supplies
An organic cloth large enough to cover your abdomen
Organic cold-pressed Castor oil
A heat source (heating pad, hot water bottle, etc.)
Plastic wrap or a silicone wrap
A blanket or thick towel
Instructions:
Apply 1-2 tablespoons of Castor oil to the organic cloth, ensuring it’s well-saturated where it will touch your abdomen.
Find a comfortable, relaxing place to lie down, then place the cloth on your bare stomach.
Cover the cloth with plastic wrap or a silicone wrap to prevent oil from staining your belongings.
Place your chosen heat source on top of the wrapped cloth.
Add a blanket over the heat source to help retain the heat for longer.
Relax in this position for 30-60 minutes.
For best results, repeat this process 1-2 times per week. For even better benefits, you can try 3-4 times per week!
Tip: After each use, store your saturated cloth in a Ziploc bag in the fridge and reuse it for up to a month!
