How to soak nuts and seeds to break down phytic acid

Soaking raw nuts and seeds is not just important, it is essential. Soaked seeds are also more nutritious and gentle on the digestion.

  • Pumpkin Seed (4 cups seed, 2 tablespoon sea salt, add lukewarm water & 1 tsp cayenne pepper (opt) leave overnight, leave in a warm place overnight or 7 hrs then dehydrate until dry)

  • Pecans/walnuts (4 cups seed, 2 tablespoon sea salt, lukewarm water, leave in a warm place overnight or 7 hrs then dehydrate until dry)

  • Peanuts/Hazelnuts/Almond/macadamia (4 cups, 1 tablespoon sea salt, lukewarm water, leave in a warm place overnight or 7 hrs then dehydrate until dry)

  • Cashews (4 cups, 1 tablespoon sea salt, lukewarm water, leave in a warm place, only soak for 6 hrs not more than that otherwise it becomes slimy, dehydrate until dry)

  • Mix oats with raw whey in a 1:1 ratio (if you don’t have whey, you can use buttermilk, or water plus lemon juice or ACV)

  • Let the mixture sit at room temp for 12-24 hours.

  • Rinse the oats

  • Dehydrate in dehydrator or under sun

  • Soak nuts like Almond, walnut, cashew etc as above

  • Make Trail Mix oats and nuts with required amount of raw honey

  • Warm raw milk

  • Add Trail Mix to milk and let it sand for 10 mins
